Welcome to the Colour Me Positive, a weekly creative challenge where you get to express yourself with some art making using the weekly prompt below. Use the quote, image or colour frame to inspire you to express yourself creatively. You can use all three elements or just one. It’s up to you.
This week I picked another quote from another famous artist, Pablo Picasso. Some days I know exactly what I want to paint. Some days I have no idea. Some days I just fill a page with colour. Some days with just scribbles. It all counts as being creative. And when I look back at what I have done, it really is like re-reading a diary about how I felt or what I was experiencing that day.
What will you diary look like this week?
Sue Wheeler is our featured artist for this week. This colourful abstract was made for the Week 4 prompt. I love the energy, and all the colours but green, for this flora piece. You can see more of Sue’s work by following her at her Instagram @soonymary .
I love the opportunities for art, inspiration and making art friends that groups like Colour Me Positive provide….I have been with CMP since the beginning and am so happy to see it continue this year. Challenge groups help me to keep working on something every day.
The Colour Me Positive community has a Facebook page where art is shared and relationships are built. Sharing is optional but positively encouraged. You can find the Facebook Group HERE
